Dunedin Public Theater Launches Feasibility Study to Explore New Theatre Facility

The future of the arts in Dunedin is taking shape. Dunedin Public Theater has officially launched a comprehensive feasibility study in partnership with Keen Independent Research, marking a major step toward the vision of a new, state-of-the-art theater.
The study will kick off with a public meeting on May 15 at 6:00 PM at Sea Sea Riders Restaurant (221 Main Street, Dunedin, FL). Community members are invited to attend, share feedback, and be part of shaping the city's next chapter in the arts — and yes, there will be snacks.
Keen Independent Research, a nationally recognized consulting firm specializing in arts, culture, and community development, will lead the project. Managing Principal and Co-owner Alex Keen will be present to introduce the process and begin gathering community input.
“This is a pivotal moment for Dunedin Public Theater,” said Elizabeth Brincklow, Board of Directors Chair. “The feasibility study will give us the information and insights we need to build a theater that truly serves our city.”
The study will assess the viability of a proposed 250-seat intimate theater, envisioned as a creative catalyst for economic growth, cultural development, and community connection. It will include a market analysis, community needs assessment, and operational planning, with final results expected in late Fall 2025.
